Biography

Dr. Scott Harden

Scott has a lifelong interest in the intersection of science, medicine, and technology. After completing a Master’s degree in molecular biology and microbiology from the University of Central Florida, Scott moved to Gainesville to begin dental school at the University of Florida. As a DMD-PhD student, Scott blended the academic and clinical training of an education in dental medicine with a scientific and technical education in the field of neuroscience. Scott’s research interests are focused on central and peripheral cellular neurophysiology, and his affinity for technology and engineering leads him to use new and emerging electrophysiological and optical devices to advance the field of biomedical research. Scott’s personal interests involve electrical engineering and computer programming, and when at home he can often be found building electrical devices and contributing to open-source hardware and software projects.
