Tuition and Stipends

Once a student is accepted and enters the DMD/PhD combined-degree program, at any point during their first three years of the DMD program, they receive a stipend (currently $27,144 per year), a waiver of DMD in-state block tuition and they are also eligible to receive health insurance coverage.

Entering students not classified as Florida residents receive a waiver for out-of-state tuition for the first year of the program, and are therefore expected to apply for Florida residency as soon as eligible (currently after one year of residency).

Once the student begins the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences, during fall term of their fourth year, the DMD tuition is waived and tuition for the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences is fully funded. Thus, as a student in the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences combined-degree program, candidates receive a graduate research assistantship stipend (currently $30,593), as well as health insurance.
