Research Conference Travel Award

The Research Conference Travel Award is granted exclusively to UFCD dental students, providing up to $2,000 per recipient to cover conference travel costs.

Travel Award Details

• Awards support opportunities for UFCD students who want to attend a research conference to present their research.
• Applicants must be D2, D3 or D4 at the time of application to be considered, and research mentors must also be at UFCD at the time of application for students to be eligible.
• The targeted research conference must be held before the student’s graduation and must not conflict with your dental board dates.
• Applications must be submitted at least two months before the conference start date. IF you are applying for funding to attend IADOCR/AADOCR, applications must be submitted by the November 15 deadline.
• To be eligible for funding consideration, applications must include the name of the targeted research conference, an email confirmation of your abstract submission, and the presentation acceptance email from the respective conference (a PDF of the submission confirmation is fine). In the application process, you will be asked to include your conference-ready abstract and your research mentor’s approval.
• Approval and release of funds will be pending abstract acceptance to present.
• Students are eligible for only one award during dental school at UFCD.
• A maximum of six awards are given annually to cover conference travel costs.
