UFCD Office of Research Programs

The Office of Research sponsors several research support programs and funding opportunities:

Research Administration

The Office of Research provides services and support necessary to the mission of the college. In order to facilitate research endeavors, the office is charged with administrative oversight of all sponsored research funding, including:

  • Support for pre-award and proposal submissions,
  • Financial management for contracts and grants
  • Assistance with compliance requirements

UFCD Clinical Research

The college’s clinical research endeavors encompass areas such as: patient care, disease prevention, oral/microbiology, biomaterials, and immunology. The college continues to focus on identifying service areas that provide resources for clinical and translational research needs in the community.

Centers and Core Facilities

The College of Dentistry hosts several research centers, many are interdisciplinary in nature. In addition, the university and Academic Health Center provide numerous core facilities available to all university researchers.

Training Opportunities

Research administration can be complex, especially in an academic environment; thus, training is essential to everyone who is either conducting or administering research. Gaining access to specific research resources may require training prior to starting a research project.
