KyuLim Lee will be starting the DMD/PhD track in the fall of 2013. Though originally from Honduras, KyuLim has lived in Gainesville, Florida for quite some time now. She graduated from UF, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences majoring in Food Science and Human Nutrition with emphasis on Nutritional Sciences in 2012. Kyu is very fluent in three languages English, Spanish in addition to her mother language of Korean. She has already co-authored several abstracts which were presented at the EPI Research Day and an oral presentation at the IADR meeting in Seattle this year. She has been a volunteer undergraduate researcher in Dr. Ozlem Yilmaz’s lab since May 2011 along with more volunteer activity at the Acorn Clinic, We Care Dental Clinic and Shands at University of Florida Dental Clinic since 2009.
