2017 Spring Synergy Friday, March 31

 

Each year the University of Florida College of Dentistry hosts Spring Synergy.  The event is sponsored by the college’s Office of Research, Continuing Education and the UF American Student Dental Association (ASDA). Spring Synergy promotes UFCD’s many accomplishments and provides a venue for the college to interact with the campus community, alumni and those in the dental profession.

Before completing this application, read the following new information about Spring Synergy


Submission due date: Friday, February 24, 2017  The UFCD Office of Research is presently accepting applications for the 2017 Spring Synergy event, occurring on Friday, March 31. Applicants can submit for either an oral or a poster presentation in the following areas of interest: educational, clinical or basic research.  C.E. will be offered for attending oral presentations.   Can earn a maximum of three C.E. credits.

Oral Presentations/Competition            1:00-4:00 PM          12 Slots (8-10 minutes each)  

Individuals in the following three divisions may submit abstracts:

  1. Current DMD students
  2. MS-Graduate/Residents
  3. PhD students/Post-Doc

Twelve presenters will be selected to participate in the oral presentation competition. Those accepted will be notified on or before Friday, March 10There is a $200 first and $100 second place award to winners in each division.


Applicants not selected for the oral presentation competition, may choose to participate in the poster session.


Poster Presentations                             9:30-11:00AM               Limit of 50 posters

All UFCD faculty, staff and students may submit applications for the poster event. Presenters are required to remain next to their poster for the entire session, in order to answer questions or explain their submission. A minimum of three posters, based on the quality and content of the abstract will receive an award and recognition for excellence.
